Laughter: The Body’s Reaction to Happiness

While watching TBS’s The Big Bang Theory, I realized how much I laughed at the four know-it-all scientists and a blonde girl who fits in with them, but shouldn’t.

Again laughter creeped into me like the bug in the room, as everyone in my family tried to catch the thing like it was gold. Except, I screamed and yelped like I was being chased by a grizzly bear. But then I giggled because life truly is funny.

Laughter, no matter what kind, comes from the activation of the ventromedical prefrontal cortex, which releases endorphins. These endorphins, neurologically, create happiness.

Share those laughs, create those moments, release some endorphins and of course, giggle, chuckle, snort, crackle, snicker as much as you can.

You’d be surprised, you’ll be pretty HA-HA-HAppy.
